Kavita Oberoi – Chair, United Kingdom
Kavita Oberoi is one of the UK’s most successful entrepreneurs. She is the founder and Managing Director of a successful IT and Business Healthcare Consultancy, Oberoi Consulting, which she established in 2001.
2007, Kavita was presented with the NRI Achiever Pinnacle Award in the category of Business Empress, and in 2009 she was named in the HBOS report as one of ‘Britain’s 100 Most Entrepreneurial Women’. Since her appearance on The Secret Millionaire in August 2008, Kavita has become a Director of one of the charities she supported on the show - Martha's Oasis, supporting them to nationalise the 'Sisters with Voices Programme' an eight week development and self-esteem programme for young girls.
Elaine Paterson – Deputy Chair, Canada
Elaine Paterson is the Chair of the WAGGGS Fund Development Committee, an Olave Baden-Powell Society Member and Honorary Associate of WAGGGS. She is a former Chief Commissioner of Girl Guides of Canada, where she is a life member and recipient of the Gold Maple Leaf Award. As former Vice-President of OB-PS she was instrumental in the creation of the current WAGGGS Fund Development department.
Amongst her other charitable activities, Elaine is currently Chair of the North York General Hospital Foundation Board of Governors and a member of the Hospital Board.
Eduardo Martinez – Corporate Panel Chair, United States of America
As Director of Programs and Corporate Relations for The UPS Foundation, Eduardo Martinez is responsible for the operations and management of its global philanthropic and corporate relations programs. Prior to his current position, Eduardo served as corporate counsel in the UPS Legal Department where his practice included commercial transactions, intellectual property and information technology matters, as well as civil litigation. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, he represents UPS on the World Economic Forum’s Logistics Emergency Team.
Keryn James, United Kingdom
Keryn James is the Managing Director for the UK & Ireland operations of the global environmental consultancy firm, Environmental Resources Management (ERM). Keryn has 20 years experience in consultancy, working with a range of public and private sector clients in Asia, Africa, Europe, the US and the UK. Keryn is also a member of the Global Executive Committee of ERM providing input on a variety of issues including sustainability, business strategy, people leadership, business development and performance.
Paul Knox, United Kingdom
Paul Knox is the Managing Director and head of Wealth Advisory Services for the Europe Middle East and Africa region of the J.P. Morgan Private Bank in London. He joined J.P. Morgan from Ernst and Young where he was a Director and head of the Private Client Services group in London.
Throughout his career, Paul has always been involved in advising both philanthropists and charities on a wide range of legal and tax issues relating to donations and charitable fundraising. He is a trustee of the European Association for Philanthropy and Giving (EAPG), a unique membership network which seeks to ensure the best practice in charitable giving and philanthropy.
Mary McPhail – WAGGGS CEO, United Kingdom
Mary Mc Phail is the Chief Executive of WAGGGS. Previous to joining WAGGGS in 2007, Mary lived and worked in Brussels where she spent six years as Secretary General of the European Women’s Lobby, and three years as the Secretary General of the European Public Health Alliance.
Mary has devoted considerable time and effort to supporting the evolution of good practice and good governance in the non governmental sector and strengthening the voice of civil society in national and European policy debates. She has also committed her time as a volunteer on a wide range management committee’s most recently as a member of the Platform of European Social NGOs and was also a member of the Civil Society Contact Group in Brussels.
